Educational Aviation Experience at Clarksville Airport

On Friday, July 24, 2026, a group of elementary and middle school-aged students visited the Clarksville, Virginia, airport for an exciting educational experience focused on aviation. The students had the opportunity to explore the airport and sit inside Empire Aviation’s newly renovated Cessna 172. Helicopter pilots from Duke Medicine LifeFlight were also in attendance and gave an engaging presentation about aviation and their experiences as flight crew. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to learn about the many possibilities in aviation and see firsthand how exciting a career in flight can be!
