Some incredible news from Empire Aviation student Connor McClanahan who wrote to let us know he “soloed the Beechcraft T-6 Texan II last month!” Connor started his flight training at Empire Aviation while a high school student and paid for all his lessons from after school jobs.
A memorial gathering of friends will be held at the Henderson-Oxford Airport from 2 – 4 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018, to remember Mike.
Empire Aviation student and Durham resident Rick Gutlon uses his Private Pilots license to help animal rescue groups transport dogs to safety. Since 2011 he’s flown over 320 dogs (and 22 cats!) to safety in his C172E.
