Aircraft: Winter 2008
The Cherokee has just come back from the paint shop in Salisbury, NC. Rowan Co. Airport. It is the first paint applied since 1976 and is well appreciated and deserved for being 32 years worn by UV rays and hit by millions of bugs. Also a complete new exhaust system has been installed in the Cherokee since out last newsletter. The patriotic red, white and blue scheme looks great and it will now fly a tad faster due to less parasitic drag. New wing tips are going on our 152 N5330B and a new attitude indicators and DGs have been installed in some of the airplanes. All of the planes have preheaters installed and are being used daily to prevent that a thick oil from not flowing in these colder temperatures. The bladders preheat the oil to about 55-60 degrees F prior to starting. Oil does not flow until about 40 degrees F.
